4worldlovers: The Senior Citizens Program ensures that the Hispanic Senior Citizens within the City of Waterbury and our surrounding towns have access to socialization while getting the necessary nutritional supplements, and their medical and personal needs are met.

La Casa Bienvenida is opened Monday-Friday 8am-2pm. We are located at 135 East Liberty Street, within the River Baldwin Recreational Center. Although our program participants are mainly Spanish speaking, everyone is welcomed. we, are family….

Transportation is provided to and from the Center. A nutritionally balanced healthy Breakfast and Lunch is served daily at the Center.

Our day Senior Citizens program provides recreational, social and therapeutic services to improve their quality of life. Some of the activities which our participants have access to are:

More older adults are becoming tech savvy than ever before. If you want to learn how to use Zoom, connect to family via video chat, or if you have a new device and need to practice using it, we can help.

Since March 2020, our senior bus has partnered with the Community Services Council to deliver thousands of boxes of food from the Food Bank to seniors and immunocompromised people in Woodbury . Delivery is still available. We can also connect you to food assistance programs if you qualify. Meals on Wheels continues without change; congregate lunches are now offered as a "grab and go" service which serves more than 80 people per week. Our innovative "chef on site" in-house lunch program serves restaurant-style meals twice weekly right here in our cafe. Check out the latest newsletter for information and menus.
