Chestnut Grove Equestrian Center is owned and operated by Emily and Tom Lula. Our barn is a second home to our lesson students and boarding clients. Horses have been a huge part of Emily’s life starting when she was 7 years old when she got her first horse. Now, 23 years later she and her husband Tom introduce you to their equestrian facility.
Emily obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science with a Minor in Community and International Development from the University of Vermont. Soon after, Emily earned a Connecticut Teaching Certificate and her Master’s Degree in Agricultural Education and Extension from North Carolina State University. Tom obtained his Associate’s Degree in Horticulture from Naugatuck Valley Community College and was the Assistant Superintendent of the
Watertown Golf Club prior to working on the farm full time.
