We are a family owned and operated Apiary located in Fairfield, CT. For the past 20+ years our mission has been to offer the highest quality products and services to our community while doing our small part to save the environment. We specialize in local swarm retrieval and removal, hive set-up and colony management, consultations and much more. We sell pure raw honey harvested from our own hives and bottled by us on our own premises.

Stop by and see us at the retail area of our Apiary, located at 2788 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield. You will see our big farm wagon with bright yellow wheels! When we are open, you will see "Local Raw Honey" signs near the road. This is also our home. Park at the barrel (or on the street), walk up the driveway to the side house door, and ring the doorbell. You may choose to call before you visit (203.371.4657) to make sure we are home. We are usually open from 9 am to 5 pm but we occasionally need to leave to run errands, attend doctor's visits, etc. We realize that this is not the usual retail business model, so we appreciate your patience and flexibility. We sell a variety of products including raw wildflower, clover, basswood (American linden) and buckwheat honey, 100% beeswax candles, body balm and other unique products.

4worldlovers: We keep Italian and Russian honey bees and raise hybrid queens. They have many acres of undisturbed woods in which to forage for pollen and nectar. Their honey changes considerably throughout the seasons.

We reserve enough honey for each hive to stay warm (in insulated hives!) through even our toughest New England winters, and the store is only stocked once they have their share for the year.

Any extra honey that the colonies produce is cold filtered and bottled hive by hive. You're getting it exactly as one hive produced it, so there is usually some variability between bottles from different hives. Our honey and beeswax products are available for online ordering with shipping or local pickup here in Orange, Connecticut.
