The Black Golf Course features 6,559 yards of golf from the Championship Tees for a par 71. The course rating is 71.5 and the slope is 123. The Black course has beautiful winding hills, great scenic views and delivers a challenge with newly renovated fairway and greenside bunkers.

4worldlovers: We were saddened to learn that the smoke from the Canadian wildfires earlier in the year dramatically affected the migration of the monarch butterflies in Connecticut. We have only been able to find a small number of caterpillars to date.

In the past week, we have seen an increase in the number of butterflies on the course. We are constantly checking the course for caterpillars and hoping to get more this season. The purpose of this project is to help the endangered Monarch Butterfly. This year we have added pollinator and native plants to the existing Glen #1 garden and added a brand-new native garden on the Glen #5 as well as maintain our existing native gardens.

We know that several of you have already donated to the project. We understand that you are as disappointed as we are. However, we want to let you know that the funds collected this year will go toward adding native and pollinator plants at the Trumbull Arts & Nature Center as well as educational programs for children.
